About  "GMI"

GIRANEZA MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL “GMI” is a Christian Organization

in socio-spiritual matter created for vulnerable children, such as:

1. Child headed households

2. Street children

3. Children affected or/and infected by HIV/AIDS

4. Children traumatized by various problems

5. Children from miserable families 

The word GIRANEZA means to make goodness in favor of that, which is

in difficult situation (Read: Luke 10:27-37).  

II. PRINCIPAL MISSION

The main Mission of “GMI” is to form, help and frame the vulnerable people,

especially children in collaboration with the various financial backers.

III. OBJECTIVES

- Set up the training scheme of the not provided education young vulnerable

  children and support vocational skills development, in collaboration with various

  financial backers;

- Prepare and put into practice the projects generator of income for the not provided

  education young children vulnerable in collaboration with the various financial backers;

- Support the initiatives of Development and Encourage the formation of Cooperatives;

- Increase beneficiary’s access to medical/health services and promotes prevention

  and care;  

- Influence the community and promote the activities that encourage behavior and

  attitude change towards HIV/AIDS;

- Improve agricultural productivity and rearing of simple domestic animals.

IV. SPHERES OF ACTIVITIES

- Fight for the reduction of poverty;

- Fight against the loneliness of children vulnerable;

- The training of the trades’ socio technical of income;

- Carries out advocacy and community sensitization;

- Promote children’s Rights

- Education.

V. STRATEGIES

- Create generating jobs of income for the children vulnerable

- Opening the Workshop of joinery and welding,

- Support the education of the children vulnerable by encouraging

  his access to all levels of teaching and seek the sponsor for his study.

- Set up the work program of leisure like dances, songs, poems, games …

VI. SOME ACHIEVEMENTS

- Training :

  Training represents the paramount element of all the activities of “GMI”

  especially the training related in:

                                                - Community life;

                                                - The management of micro-projects;

                                                - Reproductive and nutritional health;

                                                - Prevention of HIV and STI;

- Voluntary help of the members;

- Support of partners.
